Another month is coming to a close so I thought it's time for a recap of all the comings and goings regarding this blog.

For those of you that have been following along with me I started this blog on Dec 23, 2006 and celebrated my two month anniversary this past week. I have to admit that I started this up without the foggiest notion of where I was going with this. I did have a goal though. I wanted to see if my blogging system could get me onto the front page of Google for the keyword "Make Money".
This page is the exclusive domain of the big boys of Internet Marketing and to get there you have to outrank 301 million other pages. This is the Holy Grail for internet marketers.
How is my quest going?
If you have been reading my lessons then you will know that you don't start out by conquering a major keyword like "make money" - you begin by dominating the smaller niches related to your main keyword. My secondary keyword is "make money for beginners" and as of this morning I rank number 36 out of 1.2 million pages. This isn't bad for two months work. Even better are several page 1 Google listings for terms like "Project Payday" and "$7 Dollar Secrets" and a few others. These have produced traffic and project payday in particular has brought a lot of traffic.
Come Hell or High water I fully intend to make page 1 on Google but this may take awhile. At least I'm off to a good start. Oh by the way, I am hoping to come up with some insanely profitable product so that by the time I make number 1, I will be able to fleece all of your money and retire to a tropical island. At least that's the plan - you have been warned.
In the meantime I'll just keep plugging away at this for free - (sigh)

I don't really have much more to add to this other than the forums are busting with new members and I have been told that a lot of those new members have been coming from here. This is good news for the forums because it means a lot of new people to fill out offers - translation, everyone is making more money. Except me of course - there is no referral fee for sending people to forums. (Note to myself - quit picking stuff to promote that you can't make any money from - idiot!)
The nice thing about making money with IFW's (Freebie Websites) is that it is still under the radar. Most people still don't know about it yet - and this boggles my mind. Eventually this will take off as more and more people learn of it. When they do those of you already involved will find an endless supply of referrals.
I think the fact that this system is really a job has had a detrimental effect on it's popularity. Most people are still searching for a "get rich quick" fix for their life (c'mon admit it) and aren't ready to settle down to a boring old thing like "work". I have mentioned that I don't really like filling in offers myself - boring - and this in spite of the fact that I will make $25 for 5 minutes of work. Man... just how lazy am I? Instead of hunkering down for a couple of hours a day and making a few hundred bucks I continue to waste my time searching for "Eldorado". The human psych - a strange world indeed.
